Family Support Program
The Family Support Program delivers emergent and short term services to families and individuals in need of food provision, basic necessities, information on agencies and supports; and access to potential opportunities for employment. The Family Support Program organizes and manages volunteers and oversees the collection of donations and distribution of goods to those in need. In addition the program facilitates instructional sessions on food security including those on harvesting, canning and preserving of fresh food stocks.
The Program provides the services of the Waskaysoo Community Food Bank, Kokum’s Kitchen and Fresh Weekly Produce Access. The program is completely confidential and delivered from a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
